Report: Favorite has emerged in the LSU head coaching search

LSU could be moving quickly.

Following a report from SB Nation detailing four coaching candidates for the LSU head coaching gig, FootballScoop is reporting interim head coach Ed Orgeron as the "favorite" to land the job if they had to choose today.

Here's more:

"Everything that we have heard at FootballScoop is that if Oregeron beats Alabama this weekend, the job is his. If he ultimately does not end up with the job, it is our belief, based on information from several sources, that there are other candidates beyond the aforementioned list that LSU is considering. We'll update more following the Alabama game. "

LSU is in need of a full-time head coach after they fired Les Miles after a loss to Auburn in Week 3 of the season. LSU has consequently won all of their games under Orgeron.

Miles is reportedly on the prowl again, while reportedly studying Baylor, Tulsa and Western Michigan.
