After suffering horrible injury at The Opening, four-star DT Greg Emerson makes his commitment

What a commitment!

Greg Emerson is a Jackson, Tenn. native and it looks like he won't be going too far when he ends up in college next year. He announced on the NFL Network that he will be attending school close to home, which will make some SEC fans pretty happy.

The 6'3", 296-pound defensive tackle actually suffered a broken ankle and fractured fibula at The Opening in Oregon. However, he is expected to only be out 4-6 weeks after surgery to repair everything. Emerson is ranked as the No. 1 recruit in the state of Tennessee and No. 3 DT in the country by 247Sports' own rankings.

He also had offers from the likes of Clemson, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Alabama, Florida State and Georgia among plenty of others.
