Jalen Hurd's status reportedly still in limbo

This could lead to quite the offseason.

The college football world was shocked when Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd said he was going to transfer away from the Vols and he didn't even wait for the entire season to finish out. After amassing over 2,000 yards on the ground, Hurd decided he didn't like the system coach Butch Jones and offensive coordinator Mike DeBord were using.

There were some rumors that he might decide to forgo any transferring and just declare for the NFL Draft. But there were reports that Hurd also wanted to go down to the JUCO ranks to become more familiar with the tight end position —- perhaps a better position for his 6'4", 240-pound frame —- and then come back up to a Power 5 school for his senior season. It seems that transferring hasn't really come into his plans though.

Does this mean he could be leaning more toward going pro and figuring out how to be a tight end on the go? Perhaps, or he could be procrastinating and maybe he would really like to go to back to Tennessee and finish out his career now that Alvin Kamara decided to go pro.
