Former Vol star Jalen Hurd's next official visit hints at future plans

This team could definitely use him when he becomes eligible again.

Former Tennessee running back is a hot commodity on the transfer market and it looks like he will be staying Division-I rather than going down to the JUCO ranks to play immediately. There was some talk about Hurd potentially going pro and even switching positions to tight end considering he stands 6'4" and weighs 240 pounds.

However, it seems that he will be taking a visit to at least one D-I school, which means we wouldn't actually see him until 2018:

Hurd left Tennessee among rumors that he was upset with the direction of the offense under Butch Jones and Mike DeBord. His carries had been split with Alvin Kamara and QB Josh Dobbs this year after being the primary ball carrier his first two years on campus.

He finished his time at Tennessee with 2,638 rushing yards and 492 receiving yards, along with 26 total touchdowns.
