Tennessee's poaching of SEC rival coach is confirmed by one of his own players

That's a nice hire for them.

It had been reported earlier in the month that Tennessee had poached Georgia linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer, but nothing had been quite finalized yet. He was still coaching the Bulldogs for their semifinal game against Oklahoma, but now his own player in Lorenzo Carter is confirming the move.

Pruitt gets a big win with that hire after getting stunned by LSU's general manager Austin Thomas after he decided he wouldn't join the program after all. He did steal away Alabama assistant director of personnel operations Brian Niedermeyer and could be going after some other assistant coaches in the conference as well.
