Steve Spurrier names the coach who he thinks should get the Tennessee job

That's definitely one of the more interesting choices.

Former Florida head coach Steve Spurrier has already named the candidate who would "unite the fan base again" for Tennessee. Now, he's naming the guy who he thinks should get the job as he told SEC Network host Paul Finebaum that a Pac-12 coach should get the job.

Mike Leach is a pretty solid coach, but he has no real ties to SEC recruiting. He was the offensive coordinator annd quarterback coach at Kentucky, but that was back in 1998. Since then he has been to Oklahoma and then took over as head coach for Texas Tech before heading to Washington State in 2012. He's a bit kooky and certainly wouldn't be a coach that Tennessee would have any real control over, which might scare them since they really just need a steady and reliable coach who won't mess with the media or anything like Leach enjoys doing from time to time.

However, Leach's ability to win at two different schools in Power-5 conferences would be a huge bonus and he would surely figure out to win at Tennessee given the opportunity. However, he doesn't seem like quite the right fit off the field.
