Tennessee loses strength and conditioning coach

Another coach gone from Knoxville.

It seems Tennessee head coach Butch Jones isn't afraid to make coaches at all levels of his program. Defensive coordinator John Jancek left the program in January and now strength and conditioning coach Dave Lawson is also out the door. Lawson was the head of the strength and conditioning program at Central Michigan and Cincinnati with Jones as well.

Jones cited a "difference of philosophies" as the reason for the parting of ways. The strength coach and his staff are a daily presence in the life of the athletes. During periods when coaches have limited contact with their players, the strength coach is still hands on so hiring a new coach at the position quickly will be key.
