The Tennessee Volunteers (5-0, 2-0) can finally say they have the monkeys off their backs. They beat the Florida Gators after an 11-year drought and beat Georgia in Athens for the first time since 2006. Not only did the Vols pull off those feats, but with the wins they also did something that hasn't been done since 2004.

Tennessee had not beaten Georgia and Florida in the same season since 2004 and now they are the clear favorites to win SEC East. The next two games will tell us a lot more about the Vols as they travel to College Station to play Texas A&M and then host Alabama before taking a bye week.

ESPN's College GameDay will be in College Station next weekend and it could very well be in Knoxville for the game against Alabama as well. After the bye week, Tennessee will finish out the season at South Carolina, home against Tennessee Tech, Kentucky and Missouri and then at Vanderbilt. That's a very winnable slate and if the Vols can win either one of the TAMU or Bama games then they are in good shape to go to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game.
