Miami coach Mark Richt said in a statement that he discussed the transfer with Odogwu and said the program will miss him.

"Sunny and I had a good conversation, and he informed me that he feels his best opportunity to get the most playing time would be at another school," Richt said. "Sunny has been a great teammate and leader for this program, and we will miss him."

Odogwu has another visit set up with UCLA.

Odogwu will have one year of eligibility remaining wherever he transfer.
