One of the Top 10 dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation is very close to a decision.

Four-star recruit Jalen Mayden (6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Sachse, Tex.) released his top five earlier this month, but it didn’t take him long to whittle that down to just three. In an interview with Rivals, Mayden declared that his top three were Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Louisville.

Baylor and Nebraska were the two teams cut from Mayden’s list. He also stated that he would be making his commitment decision on May 23.

Mayden is rated as one of the Top 10 dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation by both ESPN (No. 8) and the 247Sports Composite (No. 10). Mississippi State is the current favorite for Mayden, according to 247Sports.
