But early Sunday morning, two University of Colorado football  players were arrested after an altercation at a bar in downtown Boulder following the Buffaloes win over Utah.

According to a police report, tight end Christopher Hill punched teammate Abdul Jaleel Awini, and when police arrived, they found a substance that appeared to be cocaine in Awini’s wallet.

Awini, 23, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession, and Hill, 21, was cited for third-degree assault, according to court records obtained by the Denver Post.

Moreover, Awini — a quarterback who transitioned to linebacker — has been suspended from the team. It’s not Awini’s first brush with trouble. He transferred to Colorado after he was thrown off the Air Force football team for an unspecified violation of team rules.

Moreover, Hill won’t play will not in Friday’s Pac-12 championship game against Washington. It was Colorado’s first Pac-12 South division title.

The incident happened after both players had been drinking, according to the police report. Awini was thrown out of the bar, the report said, and blamed Hill. The two argued, and that’s when Hill punched Awini, the report said.
