Urban Meyer was absolutely cold-blooded with a vicious prank to his 5-star recruit

Urban Meyer shows a playful side for once

Who knew Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer was a prankster? He always came off as a pretty serious guy.

After commit Baron Browning tried to pull a stunt on him back in December by texting him that he was going to abandon his Ohio State commitment and head to Alabama instead, Meyer remembered.

The five-star linebacker let Meyer in on the joke soon after and has since enrolled at OSU, but Meyer recently got Browning back, giving him the shock of his young life a couple weeks ago during a phone call.

"(Meyer) was like 'Hey what's up Baron. I'm just calling to let you know that the L.A. Rams offered me the job and I'm gonna take it,'" Browning told Cleveland.com "I'm just sitting there and my mouth just dropped. I don't even know what to say. I'm just speechless. He's just like 'Hello?' And I'm not even saying anything. I'm mad. I'm just listening. And he's like, 'You there?' and I'm like 'I'm there.' A few minutes passed and he's like 'Ah, I'm just messing with you.' I wasn't laughing."

Here's video of Browning recalling that day.
