Weeks after getting benched by Brian Kelly, Deshone Kizer discusses Brian Kelly firing chatter

Just two weeks ago, Deshone Kizer's situation drew the ire of the many watching at home, as the standout quarterback was benched midway through the third quarterback of Notre Dame's loss to Stanford.

Despite frustrations building — in and around the organization — Kizer's comments come as glowing remarks in support of the oft-criticized coach, via Indy Star:

"We have complete confidence in coach Kelly," Kizer said. "He has experience, he's a winning coach, he knows how to win and he's going to figure out whatever it takes to win. And as long as we continue to have the mentality that he is the successful coach that he is and trust in that, we're going to be fine.

Kizer also said he and his teammates "trust" and are "committed" to Kelly.
