One powerhouse is likely "already done" with their recruiting class for the year

This is incredibly early.

With National Signing Day not arriving until February, most college football programs are simply beginning to think about rounding out their recruiting classes for the 2018 year. However, there is one prominent school that is seemingly done with recruiting altogether, more than six months before they are required to be "finished" in this regard.

The Wisconsin Badgers reportedly have just 19 available scholarships to offer for the 2018 class and, on Thursday, Paul Chryst and company secured their 19th commitment.

This is insanely early to be wrapping things up and that comes with the fact that Wisconsin secured nine commitments within a 30-day span between mid-June and early-July. In fact, Jon McNamara of Rivals asserts that he has never seen a full class by this point in the recruiting calendar.

At the moment, Wisconsin ranks as the No. 20 program in the country for the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports rankings. That isn't a noteworthy class under normal circumstances, especially for a prominent Big Ten program, but when things get done this quickly, people take notice.

It is important to note that these players are not fully locked in until they sign on the dotted line and, with that, it would almost be a surprise if Wisconsin retained their entire class under February. Still, this is an anomaly that is worth monitoring in the future.
