Dignitas competes with two stand-ins for first official match

Dignitas lacked the expected chemistry and team sense of their original line-up.

It seems that luck wasn't on Team Dignitas' side for their first official match in the Esports Championship Series. Their team suffered a crushing defeat against Mousesports in a CS:GO match earlier today after being forced to produce two stand-in players.

Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel, a Norwegian player who'd recently made his return to the team from FaZe Clan, was unable to play due to a scheduling conflict.

His place was taken by Christopher 'MUTiRis' Fernandes, a Portuguese Counter-Strike player. To his credit, MUTiRis actually performed better than the rest of the team, coming out of the match with a 20-16 kill-death ratio.

Dignitas still might've still been able to come out on top, if not for another string of bad luck that resulted in another team member's personal injury. Joakim 'jkaem' Mybrostad, who joined the team earlier this year alongside his former FaZe Clan members Mikail 'Maikelele' Bill and Ricardo 'fox' Pacheco, sprained his arm the day before the match. His place was taken by Jacob 'Pimp' Winneche.

Without having previously trained together, Dignitas lacked the expected chemistry and team sense of their original line-up and, unfortunately, were unable to hold their own against Mousesports.
