A UFC legend desperate for a win just called out CM Punk for his next bout

The UFC legend's comments are surprising.

UFC legend Vitor Belfort may be on the back nine of his career, but that apparently isn't stopping him from calling people out before calling it a career. Who is Belfort interested in fighting next? CM Punk.

Via AG Fight:

"It would have to be an interesting fighter, but not a top fighter", Belfort said. "I've been fighting good guys before: Dan Henderson, [Chris] Weidman, Jacare [Souza], [Gegard] Mousasi and now Kelvin [Gastelum]. These are all hard fights, so if you can book a smoother fight... What's the name of that guy from WWE? CM Punk would be a good fight", Belfort laughed. "CM Punk, let's get it on. That would be a really good fight."

It should be noted that Belfort has lost three consecutive fights by way of technical knockout, but he's obviously still confident he could take Punk on in the octagon.

Punk's lone UFC fight did not go as well as he probably would have liked, but he's reportedly still trying to book his next fight in 2017.

Whether or not this could actually happen remains to be seen, but Punk is looking for his next opponent and it's hard to see the former WWE star taking Belfort's comments well.
