Another big wrestling free agent is reportedly close to signing with the WWE

This came out of nowhere.

Another former Impact Wrestling star is reportedly close to signing a deal with the WWE after spending the last two years on the independent scene.

Gunner, who spent half a decade in Impact Wrestling, could be the latest addition to the NXT roster in Orlando according to Wrestling Inc.

Via Wrestling Inc:

"Wrestling Inc. has learned that former TNA Television Champion Gunner may also be signing with WWE. Gunner will reportedly take the WWE physical soon, and if he passes, he will start with NXT."

Gunner isn't as big of a name as Eric Young, Mike Bennett or Bobby Roode, but he is another intriguing hand that could be added to an NXT roster that is slowly but surely starting to become more and more impressive.

Gunner is still only 34 years old and is a one-time TNA Television Champion.
