Hall of Famer reportedly returning to WWE after originally having role with company reduced

Looks like WWE is making some commentary moves.

It appears that WWE has their commentary team for the upcoming Mae Young Classic Women's tournament.

Per the most recent issue of the Wresting Observer Newsletter (subscription required), WWE Hall of Famer and former women's champion Lita will be at commentary for the WWE Network exclusive tournament. Fellow Hall of Famer Jim Ross is expected to assume play-by-play duties for the tournament as part of his new deal with the company.

Lita had previously been doing the pre-shows for both RAW and SmackDown Live, but she and Jerry Lawler were taken off those shows late last year. While the tournament will just be a one-off deal, it is still a return for Lita to major WWE programming.

Lita is touted by WWE as one of the most successful and popular female performers in the history of the company. A four-time Women's Champion, Lita was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.
