Dana White fans the flames on the Floyd Mayweather-to-UFC rumors

Wait, could this actually happen?

The Floyd Mayweather to UFC rumors that cropped up over a week ago seem to have died out... until UFC president Dana White decided to refuel the rumor mill in a Thursday appearance on FOX Sports' Undisputed.

"Don't count anything out on him coming over to the UFC, that anything is possible," White said on the show, noting that he didn't think the Conor McGregor and Mayweather boxing match would happen, until of course, it did this past August.

"I actually have a meeting with those guys today," White added, noting that he is meeting with Mayweather's crew.

The initial rumors were that Mayweather was serious about fighting in the UFC, likely hoping to capitalize on the financial opportunities following the success of his boxing match with McGregor. Both Mayweather and McGregor made a lot of money in that fight, and it would make sense to attempt a second "once-in-a-lifetime" match, only this time inside the cage favoring the mixed martial arts skills in McGregor.

Mayweather defeated McGregor in ten rounds by TKO in the Aug. 26 boxing match in Las Vegas. The fight is estimated to have drawn over four million pay-per-view buys in the U.S. alone, as well as over $700 million in overall revenue.
