After knocking out the man who beat Brock Lesnar, Francis Ngannou calls out UFC Heavyweight Champion

These guys are ready to go.

Francis Ngannou is one of the rising UFC stars, so naturally a few days after securing his biggest victory to date, he called out the Heavyweight Champion, Stipe Miocic:

That was in response to this tweet from Miocic:

Ngannou knocked out former contender Alistair Overeem at UFC 218, which was held live from the Little Caesars Arena from Detroit, Michigan, Saturday night.

Ngannou (11-1) has just one loss dating back to 2013. He's shown an ability to finish opponents on the ground or on his feet, but most notably has knocked out the legendary Andrei Arlovski as well as Overeem in consecutive fights.

Overeem tweeted after the bout noting he was recovering:

Overeem is the man that TKO'd Brock Lesnar back in 2011. His career has been up and down since then. He came into Saturday night's fight with wins over Fabricio Werdum and Mark Hunt in back-to-back bouts.

That came before Max Holloway ground-and-pounded Jose Aldo to a successful Featherweight Championship defense.

Miocic (17-2) is on a five-fight roll, with his last loss by decision at the hands of Junior dos Santos. Miocic has won all of his fights on his current streak by way of KO/TKO.

He TKO'd legends Hunt and Arlovski before KO'ing Fabricio Werdum for the belt and doing the same to Overeem before TKO'ing dos Santos in his last title defense in May 2017.

When the two meet up in the Octagon, it should be an absolute war. It might be quick though, as their last eight combined fights have ended in the first round.
