The sports world is in mourning as arguably golf's greatest has passed away

Absolutely tragic.

Arnold Palmer, regarded as one of the greatest golfers ever, has passed away, according to multiple reports.

Palmer, a recipient of the PGA Lifetime Achievement Award and an original member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, turned professional in 1954. Palmer won 62 PGA events and seven major championships, including four Masters championship tournaments from 1958-1964.

Palmer has been credited for popularizing the sport of golf over his lengthy career.

Palmer is also known for enjoying half tea, half lemonade drinks, thus having it named an "Arnold Palmer." The origins date back to Palmer reportedly ordering the non-alcoholic drink in a bar and a woman asking for "that Palmer drink."
