Controversial ex-ESPN reporter says she was let go due to political affiliation

This can't be good.

Britt McHenry was let go from ESPN as part of the company's layoffs, and it looks like she has an interesting claim on what may have led to that decision.

In a since deleted tweet, McHenry responded to ideas of ESPN having a liberal bias with the following: "I mean I've been openly conservative... look how that ended up"

ESPN has come under scrutiny in recent months that their programming is showing liberal biases, and it appears that McHenry may believe that it could have led to her layoff.

This is far from the first time that McHenry has found herself in controversy. Two years ago, ESPN reporter Britt McHenry was suspended for one week after her vicious tirade against a tow lot employee. In her temper tantrum, McHenry made fun of the employee's appearance, her education level and pretty much said she's better than the tow lot employee because she's on the news.

McHenry was suspended a week for that tirade. She was eventually let go by the company during their massive layoffs that have been occurring over the past few months.
