Another major domino has fallen in free agency with latest All-Star signing

That's quite the payday.

This is the summer where NBA free agents are going to get paid as the salary cap has gone up and the market seems to be rife with middling talent getting big bucks and the good players getting super big bucks. One of the mid-tier guys who's about to get paid is New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday.

And he could make even more money after incentives:

Holiday is a good point guard in the league and certainly better than some of the other guys available so it wasn't too much a reach for the Pelicans to want to retain him. Pairing the former All-Star with DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis should lead to more wins this year assuming all guys are healthy and will play the entire season.

Holiday only played in 67 games as he took some personal time to be with his wife who was undergoing a stressful pregnancy as she was also dealing with a brain tumor. He ended up averaging 15.4 points, 1.5 steals, 7.3 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game last season.
