Report: Lakers engaged in talks for a superstar in potential blockbuster trade

In one of the least controversial revelations in his new tell-all book, George Karl admits to trying to trade one of his best players

Former NBA head coach George Karl doesn't hold back a bit with some of the claims he makes in his new book, "Furious George."

While definitely not one of the more controversial things he reveals, Karl admits to trying to put together a blockbuster trade for All-Star Sacramento Kings center Demarcus Cousins while he coached the Kings.

The two reportedly had quite the stormy relationship and Karl, who in the book says Cousins is a "bully," a "sullen child," and "lacked maturity" got as far as engaging in trade talks with the Lakers.

The blockbuster deal was rumored to involve the Lakers' second overall pick in the 2016 draft (which ended up being Brandon Ingram), along with the possibility of Julius Randle, D'Angelo Russell, or Jordan Clarkson.
