After sudden retirement, Bob Stoops speaks out on speculated next move

This is really interesting.

Bob Stoops has only been retired for a little over a week, and already the Where Is He Going Next rumors are swirling.

Stoops, who retired from Oklahoma last week, has purchased property in Chicago, and, with the Bears' head coach John Fox being on the hot seat, many have been speculating that his purchases might indicate where he'd like to coach next.

That's probably not the case, though, as Stoop seems very comfortable away from football and opened up about the property.

Via Tulsa World:

"That's a simple deal," Stoops said. "I got one that fits our style and what we want to do with our family better, and I'm gonna sell the other one. I'm not looking to coach in Chicago."

He went onto say in the interview:

"It has been (her favorite city) since we were in college, and we haven't moved to Chicago," Stoops said.

That's a pretty clear answer from Stoops that he and his wife just wanted to move to a big city after spending decades in the small town of Norman, OK. It makes sense.
The fact that Stoops did the interview while hanging out and playing golf with former Florida and South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier also seems to suggest he's pretty content.
