Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has already announced he's coming back for at least one more season, but one mock draft has the franchise replacing Witten in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Emily Kaplan's latest mock draft for MMQB has the Cowboys selecting Miami tight end David Njoku with the No. 28 pick in the first round.
"The classic "excellent veteran is aging, so let's find him a replacement" scenario surfaces yet again," Kaplan wrote. "Here, Jerry Jones finds a successor for Jason Witten. Njoku, one of the youngest players in this year's draft (he turns 21 in July) has a high ceiling, as he has only been playing tight end for two years. A core featuring Njoku, Dak Prescott (23-years-old) and Ezekiel Elliott (21)? That will keep Dallas front-running in the NFC East for years to come."
The Cowboys met with Njoku and Alabama's O.J. Howard at the scouting combine. Njoku caught 43 passes for 698 yards and eight touchdowns last season for Miami. The 6-foot-4, 246-pound prospect ran a 4.64 in the 40-yard dash and had a 37.5 inch vertical at the combine.
Witten, who will be 35 at the start of next season, caught 69 passes for 673 yards and three touchdowns last season. His 673 yards were his lowest since his rookie season in 2003.
