Former Cowboys DE allegedly involved in street brawl just days before he was cut

It appears that a gun shot may have also been fired in the brawl.

Damontre Moore has not been a part of the Dallas Cowboys organization since October, when he was released by the club. While that was not exactly a noteworthy event league-wide (aside from his decision to raise a fist during the national anthem), Moore's release is made much more interesting and potentially controversial on the heels of video footage obtained by TMZ Sports.

In short, the video below appears to show Moore being a part of a fight on the street and, according to the report, the incident took place just days before the Cowboys made the decision to part ways with the 2013 third round pick.

It was reported at the time of his release that Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett simply said "no" after being asked if anthem protest or other factors played into Moore's release. Still, it is at least possible that the organization was made aware of this incident before parting ways with Moore, simply because of the reported timeline of events.

The video shows some disturbing images, including the man described as Moore taking a punch and then coming back at the attacker in question. There is even some incidents involving a moving vehicle and the TMZ report indicates (and sound backs this up) that a gunshot could have been fired. It appears that no long-term physical damage was done as a result of the brawl but, in the same breath, the video brings questions to the table and it will be interesting to see if there is any additional fallout.
