Details emerge on devastating injury to Oakland QB Derek Carr

Oh no...

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had to be taken off the field in the fourth quarter in Saturday's win over the Colts after he went down with a leg injury. It now looks like could tank Oakland's once bright Super Bowl hopes, as it is being reported that Carr suffered a broken fibula.

Carr was having an MVP-caliber season for the Raiders before the injury, throwing for over 3,700 yards with a 25-to-6 touchdown to interception ratio. His played helped the Raiders get out to a 12-3 record, which is the best performance by Oakland in a decade.

The Raiders will now have to rely on former Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin, who came in to relieve Carr after the injury. McGloin was undrafted in 2013 after four seasons with the Nittany Lions.
