ESPN's Paul Finebaum made a stunning comparison of this Cowboys rookie to an NFL legend

Is Paul Finebaum thinking correctly?

Dak Prescott hasn't lit the NFL on fire thus far, but he's played relatively mistake free and has the Dallas Cowboys sitting in the top tier of the league at 5-1.

After tossing for 1,486 yards and seven touchdowns with just one interception, SEC Network's Paul Finebaum compared the rookie to an NFL legend, per 247sports:

"He is Peyton Manning about 19 years removed," Finebaum said during Monday's appearance on SportsCenter. "He's the first person to show up for work every day in Dallas and it was the same way in Starkville. He's a film-a-holic and studies the game. His goal back then was to master the game and he did that at Mississippi State.

"He has the winning ability and that's what has transferred over to Dallas. And he also has Zeke Elliott."

After taking over Tom Brady's record for most pass attempts without an interception, Prescott's standing as one of the top young quarterbacks continues to grow.

Whether Tony Romo returns and takes his job back or not, Prescott's work ethic behind the scenes could make him an all-time great.
