ESPN's top-ranked free agent running back has officially found his next home

Gone from one playoff contender to land with another is running back Latavius Murray, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings early Thursday morning, via NFL.com.

The Vikings move on from former MVP Adrian Peterson after ranking dead last in the league in rushing yards per game (75.3). Peterson played in just three games last season, rushing for 72 yards and zero scores.

Murray started a combined 28 games over the last two seasons with the Oakland Raiders, rushing for 1,854 yards, 18 touchdowns and 4.0 yards per attempt.

Murray is ranked as the top free agent running back at ESPN (No. 28), just above Eddie Lacy (No. 30), Adrian Peterson and LeGarrette Blount.
