Former SEC player strapped to a backboard and carted out of NFL practice

He was an undrafted free agent.

Former Ole Miss and Middle Tennessee State running back I'Tavius Mathers has been transported to the hospital after he was carted off the field Tuesday afternoon at Jacksonville Jaguars practice:

Mathers transferred from Ole Miss after three seasons, finishing his college career at MTSU. He ran for just over 1,500 yards, caught passes for 633 receiving yards and 20 total touchdowns. He nearly doubled his yards from scrimmage in one year at MTSU than he had in three years at Ole Miss.

Mathers joined the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent.

Our thoughts are with him at this time.
