Jerry Jones still reportedly fighting Roger Goodell's contract extension

Jerry Jones' feud with Roger Goodell continues on.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has proposed a resolution to delay NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's recent $200 million contract extension by six months, according to ESPN's Seth Wickersham.

Jones' resolution will allow the owner to raise his concerns regarding the commissioner during the NFL's Special League Meeting on Wednesday in Irving, Texas.

"There is time on the agenda for all the owners to hear from the compensation committee," an NFL spokesperson said when asked if Jones, who is not a member of the NFL's compensation committee, was expected to speak out against Goodell.

The commissioner confirmed to CNBC that he had spoken with Jones and confirmed that they were "okay" with each other.

Jones submitted his proposal on Dec. 1, arguing for a six-month "moratorium on any and all actions taken pursuant" to Goodell's new deal, "specifically, that the Commissioner's extension is not finalized during such moratorium."

The Cowboys owner also asked for a vote on the resolution to be conducted under a secret ballot, which is typically reserved for the NFL's most critical league matters, according to Wickersham.

Jones and the rest of the league's owners voted in order to have the Compensation Committee decide on the salary for Goodell's next contract.

The Cowboys owner's criticism of the commissioner followed the league's final punishment of starting running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is currently serving a six-game suspension for an alleged role in a domestic violence incident with an ex-girlfriend, despite having not been punished by police, although Jones has denied that his disdain has anything to do with Elliott's suspension.

"It's unfortunate that motives are being pressed: 'It's all about Zeke. It's all about that,' which questions your motive, but Zeke is done. Zeke is over," Jones said. "But some of the things that make that happen are still around."

A recent report by ESPN claims that Jones threatened Goodell after the handling of Elliott's case, comparing himself to New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft and his handling quarterback Tom Brady's suspension for his alleged role in the infamous "Deflategate" incident.

"If you think Bob Kraft came after you hard, Bob Kraft is a p—y compared to what I'm going to do."
