NFL insider stokes the fire and lights back up Grumors on Jon Gruden's possible coaching return

Gruden went 57-55 during seven seasons with the Bucs.

Despite reports of him flirting with the Tennessee Volunteers head coaching job, Jon Gruden ultimately didn't make a public move or announcement as one of the weirdest storylines of the winter played out.

After backing off of Greg Schiano, the Vols hired Jeremy Pruitt. As for Gruden, he remains a hot commodity and his annual winter tease to return to coaching reportedly "may actually be different," per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Gruden has been linked to the New York Giants, but there have been whispers that he could return to his glory days with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Gruden went 57-55 during seven seasons with the Bucs, which included winning the Super Bowl during his first year and winning the NFC South three times.
