ESPN could reportedly lose one of its top analysts to a surprising organization

This is a surprise.

Could Louis Riddick be on his way out at ESPN?

Maybe, but it it won't be because of layoffs. Ian Rappaport reports that Riddick is in line to be interviewed for the vacant Kansas City Chief Chief's general manager's job.

Riddick has been with ESPN since 2013 and is one of the network's best analysts. Prior to that, he played seven seasons in the NFL, and followed that with stints as a scout and director of pro personnel in Washington (he joined the front office in 2001) and then Philadelphia. He joined the Eagles front office in 2008 and left in 2013.

The Eagles are looking for a new general manager because the team parted ways with John Dorsey. ESPN reported that it was not Dorsey's choice to go. His dismissal came just after the Chiefs gave coach Andy Reid a contract extension.
