Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott had the third-most rushing yards for any rookie in NFL history this season with 1,631.

However, NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah recently reached out to five anonymous executives, and three of them preferred former LSU star Leonard Fournette over Elliott.
Executive 1
"Fournette is faster and he can hold his speed longer than Elliott. Elliott was further along as a blocker and receiver at Ohio State, but I thought Fournette made some small improvements in those areas this year."
Executive 3
"I really like Elliott, but Fournette is an animal. Guys like him don't come around very often."
Executive 5
"You don't see guys with Fournette's size/speed combination very often. He's a rare, rare talent. He's the most talented runner to come out since Adrian Peterson."
Fourtnette and Florida State running back Dalvin Cook will likely be the first two running backs taken in the 2017 NFL Draft, and Fournette might be a top ten pick. Elliott was taken fourth by the Cowboys, and there are several teams in need of a running back picking in early in the draft, including the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and possible even the Carolina Panthers.
