According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Redskins placed the exclusive tag on Cousins, and he will earn $24 million next season.

Rapoport said the San Francisco 49ers were interested in trading for Cousins.

Cousins threw for 4,917 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2016 for Washington. He was drafted by the Redskins in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
