The Pittsburgh Steelers got some terrible news as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a torn meniscus against the Miami Dolphins this past week. However, he could be back near the end of the season according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Dr. James Bradley performed the surgery on Monday and he said the timetable is 4 to 6 weeks.

The original timetable before the surgery was 2 to 3 weeks, but was broadened after the doctor actually got in and performed the surgery.
"Doc says my knee looked good, but there still was some stuff in there from when I had my bone bruise last season in St. Louis," Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Tuesday. "He said that might keep me out a little longer than just a simple meniscus tear. Maybe an extra week or so. But there's no way to put an exact timetable on it. It all depends on my pain and how I feel."
Roethlisberger was injured in the first against the Dolphins, but only missed one series before coming back in the game and finishing with 19-of-34 for 189 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
