ESPN will be parting ways with the longtime face Monday Night Football and NBA play-by-play man Mike Tirico. All of this is happening according to the Sports Business Journal and Tirico will be heading to NBC. Tirico has been with ESPN since 1991 and has played many roles for the network including the lead play-by-play announcer for "MNF" —- a position he's held since 2006.
Tirico will continue to call NBA Playoff games until they finish and his current deal ends in the summer. NBC would not comment on the move, with a spokesperson saying that the net does not comment on people under contract with another outlet.
