The defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos are on the verge of missing the playoffs, and there was arguing between teammates after their most recent loss.

Defensive players began blaming the offensive players for the team's recent struggles, and safety T.J. Ward claimed the Broncos dominated the Patriots.
"We did dominate them," Ward said, "but when they don't have to pass, No Fly kinda gets eradicated, so we've got to try to make plays in other areas ... strip the ball, whatever. But it's tough when they don't have to pass the ball. You've got to be in a position to make plays, but teams don't even have to throw the ball on us. If they're not in a position to throw, it's hard to get an interception. And even when they run, their running backs have two hands on the ball, so it's hard to make plays [against] the run."
The Broncos held Tom Brady to 188 yards and no touchdowns throughout the game, and he only completed 16 of his 32 passes. But the Broncos had trouble moving the ball, and they couldn't score a touchdown on the Patriots' defense — who happen to lead the NFL in scoring defense at 16.6 points per game.
Denver's playoff hopes aren't finished yet, but they'll likely need to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders over the next two weeks to even have a chance.
