Unsettling news emerges on released defensive tackle facing disturbing accusations

No arrests have been made.

Authorities are wrapping up an investigation into an allegation made by two women that they were sexually assaulted by former New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker.

According to a report from The Advocate, investigators have been looking into the case since March. The women allege that Walker and another man sexually assaulted two women at a hotel following a Mardi Gras celebration.

"The two men are accused of forcing themselves on an unconscious woman at a hotel after a night of drinking at a nightclub here. The sexual assault was broken up when one of the women regained consciousness and pulled the men off her friend," the filings allege.

One of the women involved believes she was drugged while drinking at a dance club earlier that night.

The  Lafayette Parish District Attorney's office told the Advocate that detectives have forwarded the results of their investigation. The D.A.'s office hasn't decided whether to present the case to a grand jury.

Walker was recently cut by the Los Angeles Rams only three months after signing a one-year deal. He went undrafted out of Tulsa in 2012 before signing with the Saints. He has recorded 3.5 sacks during his five-year career.
