After being 'embarrassed' by this season, John Elway has made a decision on Broncos coach's future

John Elway has made his decision.

There was a strong possibility that the Denver Broncos would part with head coach Vance Joseph after this season where the team went 5-11 and was absolutely atrocious on offense. However, it seems that even after general manager John Elway thought the season was "embarrassing", he will bring back Joseph for another season.

There was also a point in the season that Elway called the team "soft" and had to walk back his comments. So it's a bit surprising he would bring back Joseph, but he also didn't give the former defensive coordinator any offensive pieces to work with this season.

Elway likely recognized and could be making some moves in the NFL Draft or offseason to alleviate that problem as Trevor Siemian is clearly not the answer at quarterback and Brock Osweiler likely isn't the guy either. Paxton Lynch is still an unknown as he missed time with an injury and never got meaningful playing time this season.

We will have to wait and see if Elway gives Joseph any extra help on offense for next season, but this could turn out to be one of the more interesting story lines of the 2018 offseason.
