WWE title contender rumored to be involved in bizarre bar incident

How bizarre is this?

Chalk this one up as one of the more odd wrestling rumors circulating the internet.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer (subscription required), Braun Strowman is rumored to have been involved in an incident at a Nashville bar with Karen Jarrett, the wife of GFW founder Jeff Jarett and ex-wife of Kurt Angle, during a meet up between WWE Raw Superstars and GFW wrestlers.

The incident took place after Raw's taping at Bridgestone Arena earlier this month, the same city in which GFW's headquarters are located.

According to witnesses, Jarrett approached Strowman for an autograph for her son, claiming that the "Monster Among Men" was one of his favorite wrestlers, to which he responded rudely.

"I'm not sure what got into Strowman but he was rude and may have sworn at her," Meltzer wrote.

The altercation apparently turned into a big scene in which an irate Jarrett "cut a promo" on Strowman and told her she was going to tell her son's father, Kurt Angle, about the incident.

Strowman reportedly begged her not to and even got on his knees in front of several WWE wrestlers.

Regarding Jarrett's response to the wrestler's begging, Meltzer wrote, "She basically said something like now you're acting like that because you found out that Kurt Angle is the father of her son, but even if he wasn't, he should have never acted like that to a mother who asked for an autograph for her son, even if it was just another wrestling fan."

What seems suspicious about this story is the fact that Angle, who works with Strowman weekly on Raw, could have easily asked the wrestler for an autograph for his son himself. Still, if true, it's at least an interest story that seems too strange to believe.
