WWE officially announces the signing of yet another independent star

YES!

It had been previously reported that Candice LeRae to the WWE was inevitable, and now the wrestling promotion has made it official. On Tuesday, via the company's website, the WWE announced LeRae as an addition to its talent roster.

A gifted wrestler, many might remember LeRae from her performance during the Mae Young Classic. Shayna Baszler defeated LeRae in the quarterfinals of that tournament.

Only 32-years-old, she has already appeared on WWE programming outside of the Mae Young Classic. Back in April, she made her debut in NXT, competing in a battle royal to determine the new top contender for the NXT Women's Championship.

Obviously, she did not win that match.

Via WWE's website:

"LeRae is regarded as one of the top female wrestlers on the independent scene. She's no stranger to the WWE Universe, either, as she made it all the way to the Quarterfinal Round in the inaugural Mae Young Classic last year. LeRae left her mark on WWE while competing in the groundbreaking women's tournament, reigning supreme in her First and Second Round clashes with high-energy performances. She also vied for an NXT Women's Title opportunity last October as part of an over-the-top-rope Battle Royal and is married to current NXT Superstar Johnny Gargano."

The WWE also announced the signings of top tag team War Machine, as well as high-flyer Ricochet, on Tuesday.
