WWE superstar makes in-ring return at house show

One WWE superstar made his official in-ring return after being cleared last month.

WWE superstar Darren Young made his return to the ring after missing several months of action due to injury.

Young appeared in a battle royal match — which was won by Jason Jordan — during a RAW live event on Friday night, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

It was his first match since suffering a hyperextension which resulted in a traumatic dislocation and fracture of the coronoid process of the right elbow during a match on WWE Main Event against Epico in January.

When his injury took place, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that Young was expected to make his grand return more than six months later. Earlier this month, the superstar was reportedly cleared to make his in-ring return.

Young made history by coming out as the first openly gay active wrestler in WWE history by publicly announcing his sexual orientation to TMZ in August 2013.

He is also a former WWE Tag Team Champion as a member of the Primetime Players alongside Titus O'Neil.
