The Dean Ambrose-Seth Rollins Shield reunion will continue on for the time being.

Ambrose and Rollins defeated “The Bar” (Cesaro and Sheamus) to become the new Raw Tag Team champions at SummerSlam on Sunday night.

Rollins landed his signature Ripcord Knee on Sheamus, who staggered into Ambrose’s “Dirty Deeds” DDT for the pinfall.

The finisher combination was set up by an amazing sequence in which Rollins hit Cesaro with a top rope Frankensteiner Hurricanrana, forcing him to crash into his teammate, who had Ambrose perched in the Fireman’s Carry position for the White Noise.

Ambrose and Rollins were two of the three members of the dominant Shield trio alongside Roman Reigns from 2012-14, but have never previously held the Tag Team championships together.

Rollins and Reigns had previously held the WWE Tag Team championship during their run as the Shield, while Ambrose held was the United States champion for much of their reign.
