Report: Former champ may be forced to retire at 25 after latest injury

This is just heartbreaking.

If true, this could be heartbreaking for one of WWE's youngest stars.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Paige's career could be over after her most recent injury.

In a situation described as similar to WWE Hall of Famer Adam "Edge" Copeland's medical disqualification from the ring, WWE star Paige (Saraya-Jade Bevis, 25 years old) was informed this week that she will not be cleared to return to the ring after her most recent in-ring injury, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources. It is believed Paige was given the news at the Raw taping this past Monday. We have been told by multiple sources she is "done" as an in-ring wrestler.

The injury happened during a tag team match at a WWE live event in Uniondale, New York. Paige was down for a few minutes and a stretcher was eventually brought out from the back. However, Paige was able to leave the ring under her own power.

The injury scare comes after Paige missed nearly a year with a back injury. Paige had just returned a few weeks ago, and the WWE was pushing her as part of a new group called "Absolution" with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

Paige is a former NXT women's champion and Diva's champion during her time with WWE.
