6'5", four-star safety Hamsah Nasirildeen announces commitment

He is now their highest-rated commit.

One of the most interesting recruits of the 2017 recruiting class has made a decision.

Four-star safety Hamsah Nasirildeen (6-foot-5, 210 pounds, Concord, NC) made waves with his commitment on Tuesday, as the towering defensive back announced his commitment to South Carolina.

The reason Nasirildeen is such an interesting recruit is because no one really know what position he will play in college football. He is listed as a safety more often than not, and that is the position that he plays most at for his high school. However, at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, he could easily be converted into a linebacker, and he could definitely play a nickelback or some sort of combo-back on defense.

Simply because of his size, Nasirildeen has played some receiver, but it doesn't look like that is what he will do at the next level.

Nasirildeen is South Carolina's 19th commitment for the 2017 class. He is now also their highest-rated commit, according to the 247Sports Composite.
