A college quarterback is reportedly rising in NFL interest as a tight end

He has interest from some pretty big teams, too.

Because of the differences between the college and NFL levels, not every college quarterback goes on to have success in the NFL... at least at that position. Several quarterbacks try to make the switch to another position at the NFL, and it looks like one of 2016's most unique quarterback is already gaining interesting with the switch he's trying to make.

According to Max Olsen of ESPN, several NFL teams are beginning to show interest in former Texas quarterback Tyrone Swoopes, who would play as a tight end at the next level.

Swoopes — Texas's starting quarterback for the 2014 season — had converted to a power running back over the past two seasons with the moniker of the "18-wheeler". Swoopes scored 19 touchdowns rushing over the past two years, mostly in short-yardage situations.

However, the 6-foot-4, 250-pounder has been working out as a tight end since the end of the season, and it looks like he might have a shot in the NFL at that position thanks to his size. According to Olsen, the Cowboys, Buccaneers, Seahawks, and Bears have already shown interest in Swoopes, and more interest may come if he continues to impress in workouts and interviews with NFL teams.
