A new team has taken over the No. 1 spot in the recruiting rankings

A new team is now on top!

It's early, but this is still a good spot to be in.

After picking up a couple of four-star recruits over the weekend, Miami has now taken over the No. 1 spot in 247Sports' recruiting rankings. The Hurricanes also own the No. 1 spot in the Rivals.com recruiting rankings.

Both recruiting services have Penn State and Notre Dame as the current Nos. 2 and 3 teams. Clemson, Florida State, and LSU are all in the Top 6 for both services as well.

Miami's 2018 class is currently led by five-star running back Lorenzo Lingard at the top, but is bolstered by eight other four-stars among 15 total commitments. To put into perspective how solid of a class that is already, Miami's class would rank as it stands now would already rank in the Top 15 when compared to 2017's completed recruiting classes.
