ACC makes decision on conference schedules

We know what the ACC is thinking now in regards to schedules.

The ACC has been debating whether or not to expand the conference slate of games to nine from its current eight and to add another Power Five team outside of the conference to the schedule. A decision has been reached and it looks like the ACC is going to stay put with its current format.

Most ACC schools already play a Power Five opponent outside of the conference each year like Florida State playing Florida, Georgia Tech playing Georgia and Clemson playing South Carolina so that's not too big a deal. This will be a measure to make sure that ACC schools can still get their one cupcake in before the conference slate starts, but also have a decent strength of schedule when the playoff committee is looking at schools for the last three games of the season.
